The
summer of 2007 was a perfect time to add our new housebeer
to the Kroegske Wit.

Kroegbier
Saison ! (75cl. volumes)

When Danny is pouring, we immediately notice a more orange
colored beer.
More hazy than the witbeer. Somewhat less foamy.
A good start if you ask me.

Kroegbier
Saison poured out. What a gorgeous appearance folks !
This beer can be cathegorized within the real Saison beers.
The regulations state that when 8 out of the 10 Saison brewing
style conditions are fulfilled, a beer can be called a real
Saison
This Kroegbier Saison perfectly matches 8 of the 10 conditions.
The two deviations are:
1) Not brewed inside Hainaut
2) No regional sale.
Note
that traditionally this beerstyle was once brewed at Wallonia
for summertime thirst-quenching purposes.
Brewed in wintertime, and vastly consumed in summertime by
the hard working farmers people.
Tasting gave a first-degree traditional Saison beer. Everything
is there to call this beer a thirst-quenching summer beer
Saison.
With its 6vol% strenght, we taste pepper, Bister mustard,
spices.
Interesting to notice that this beer underwent a nice Dry-Hopping
treatment with Styrian Goldings and American Cascade hops.
This Saison is refreshing and amazingly thirst-quenching.
